🐣 Easter Raffle & Trócaire Fundraising 🐰
Wed 27 Mar 2024Our Easter fundraising events, organised by our School Council were a huge success with councillors coordinating and planning a number of events over the Lenten period.
The School Council organised an Easter Raffle as well as a Pyjama Day. There was great excitement today as our Raffle took place at our special Easter Assembly with over £500 being raised through events organised and led by the Council.
This was a truly amazing effort from everyone in our school community and we would like to thank everyone for their generous support and kindness.
All proceeds from these events will be donated to Trócaire as part of our Lenten fundraising.

📚 Accelerated Reader Word Millionaire 🥇
Tue 26 Mar 2024Many congratulations to our first Accelerated Reader Word Millionaire for this school year – Keeva in Primary 7!
To become a word millionaire, a pupil needs to pass Accelerated Reader quizzes on books which contain a total of over one million words.
Mrs Howland, our school Literacy coordinator is always delighted to award Accelerated Reader certificates and was extremely proud of Keeva for reaching this fantastic milestone in her reading journey.
Keeva has immersed herself in the world of books this year and shown amazing dedication. She was presented with a beautiful book, Easter bunny and set of markers from Mrs Howland as a reward for her achievements.

🌎 World Water Day 2024 💦
Fri 22 Mar 2024Today was World Water Day 2024. World Water Day has been held every year since 1993 and this year’s theme is all about ‘Water for Peace’.
Pupils in all classes learned that we all need to unite, protect and conserve our most precious resource and that when we cooperate on water, a positive ripple effect is created.
As a Rights Respecting School, Article 24 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child states that ‘You have the right to the best healthcare possible, safe water to drink, nutritious food, a clean and safe environment, and information to help you stay well’ and this message was relayed throughout the school to all the children during our World Water Day activities.
