Our school Easter raffle was a huge success with large number of tickets sold and purchased by the whole school community.
There was huge excitement at assembly on Wednesday as we drew the winners who were:
Well done everyone for your efforts, over £400 was raised towards school funds!
Well done to Sophie, Ethan and Cormac who today completed their 10 week Reading Partnership programme with Mrs Mullan.
Over the last 10 weeks these pupils have read with such enthusiasm, fluency and expression and their progress has been amazing. They were awarded certificates and gifts to mark their achievements. Well done everyone, keep up the great work!
The Eco-bus visited school today and the children got the opportunity to complete a series of Eco & STEM based activities on the bus and in the workshop led activities delivered by Lucinda White from Newry, Mourne & Down District Council.
The pupils learnt important messages about recycling, reducing waste and conserving energy and had a fantastic time.
Well done to our school Gaelic team who participated in the Pat Waterson Cup at St Malachy’s P.S. Kilclief today.
We were drawn in Group A for the tournament with St Joseph's PS Strangford and St Patrick's PS Saul. We drew our first game in a very tight match with St Joseph's Strangford and were narrowly beaten by eventual winners St Patrick's Saul in our other group game.
Scoring difference meant we just missed out on a semi-final place so instead we participated in a 3rd/4th place match against St Joseph's PS Ballycruttle. The boys put on their best performance of the day scoring some great goals and points and displaying fantastic skills to take third place.
Congratulations to St Patrick's PS Saul who were the overall winners and to St Malachy’s P.S. Kilclief, especially Mr McGarrity for his organisation of the tournament.
Well done to Mollie in P7 for representing our school at the Environmental Youth Speak Competition 2019 at the Saint Patrick's Centre, Downpatrick. She received a high recommendation for her speech and the whole school is very proud of her.
Well done Mollie!
