  • Wolrd Maths Day

    Wed 04 Mar 2020

We celebrated World Maths Day in school today with a number of fun lessons and activities, culminating in our TT Rockstars Team Challenge this afternoon in the assembly hall.

The children battled it out throughout the day to earn points for their house teams through TT Rockstars with the blue team coming out on top, narrowly outpointing the yellow team.

We then took the highest point scorer from each house team from P4-P7 to create a four person TT Rockstar team to take part in our team challenge. After a very close and exciting battle over 5 minutes the Yellow Team of Nicola, James, Paige and Rory were crowned champions, earning a homework pass for their team as a reward! Well done everyone, it is fantastic to see such progress in your times tables skills!

Primary 1 to Primary 3 also took part in a series of Maths challenges throughout the day to mark World Maths Day. The winning team in P1-P3 was also the blue team, rounding off a fantastic day of fun maths for everyone!

  • Peace Proms 2020

    Mon 02 Mar 2020

An amazing experience yesterday evening as our school choir took part in the Peace Proms in the SSE Arena. The singing and choreography were absolutely brilliant and all 2,500 children involved put on a sparkling and very powerful performance!

Many important messages were expressed through the songs, from celebrating cultural diversity, aspiring everyone to do their best throughout their lives, encouraging us to be strong and stand up for what is right and having the courage to dream and keep our heads held high.

The Peace Proms presented the children with a wonderful opportunity and no doubt they will have positive and lasting memories of the evening for many years to come. Well done everyone we are so proud of you all!
