Happy European Languages Day from everyone in school!
The children had a great day filled with fun and creative activities to celebrate European Languages Day and were given the opportunity to taste a variety of foods from different European countries!
Some fantastic outfits were on display!
A huge thank you to everyone who baked, bought or helped organise this morning’s event!
Keep up the great work! 🌟
Congratulations to our P4 pupil Tilly on her two beautiful gold medals!🤩🏅 Tilly won a medal for playing Camogie in Portaferry and the other one for taking part in the sports day at Strangford festival. She really enjoyed bringing in her medals to school today to show her teacher and classmates. Well done Tilly!🌟
All classes immersed themselves in the writer's work through stories, poetry, films and interactive live lessons throughout the day.
Amazing costumes everyone, well done!
Well done everyone! ⭐️👏🏻
Local author Chrissie Walsh visited school today as part of our International Literacy Day celebrations.
Chrissie has written several successful sagas such as ‘Welcome to Weaver Street’ and ‘The Widwives’ War’.
Children in Primary 7 got to listen to extracts of some of Chrissie’s books and they were particularly interested in the book which Chrissie has written about the Irish Famine as this is their current World Around Us focus. Chrissie discussed in detail how she plans and creates her books and the children took on board some key learning.
It was wonderful to have Chrissie in school today and it was a fantastic experience for our Primary 7 children.
Keep up the great work! 🌟
A well-deserved Friday treat for the children today in that glorious weather!
