St Marys Primary School, Chapeltown, Downpatrick

Welcome

Welcome to the St. Mary’s Primary School, Dunsford website. We hope your visit gives you a glimpse of our busy, vibrant and welcoming school community.

St. Mary’s is a progressive and innovative Catholic school where we pride ourselves on providing a caring, happy and stimulating environment that supports every child’s academic, emotional, social and spiritual development. We aim to create rich learning opportunities that help pupils grow in confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential.

We enjoy strong partnerships between home, school, the Church and the wider community, and we have high expectations of ourselves and all our pupils. We are proud of our excellent pastoral care, high academic standards and the warm, nurturing atmosphere that makes our school so special.

Our most recent ETI inspection highlighted the very good quality of education, exemplary behaviour and outstanding pastoral care in our school. These findings reflect our commitment to continuous improvement and to placing the children at the centre of everything we do.

We are always happy to discuss any aspect of your child’s development, and we warmly invite you to visit and experience our school in person.

Best wishes,

Mr Ronan Fitzpatrick

Principal
