  • πŸ”₯ Sacrament of Confirmation πŸ•ŠοΈ

    Fri 26 Apr 2024

Congratulations to all the children in Primary 7 who made their Confirmation this morning in St Nicholas' Church. It was a beautiful ceremony and the children were absolutely fantastic throughout.

They have worked so hard in preparation for today and this was apparent in their responses throughout the service, in their readings, in their reverence during the service and in their knowledge of the Sacrament.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to today, specifically Fr McCloskey for a very special service, class teacher Mrs Devlin and Mrs McGrath for all her work in preparing the children with the music for today.

Many thanks also to Mrs McMullan and Mrs McLaughlin, our Primary 7 assistants for preparing the displays and presenting the children's work so beautifully.

We would also like to thank our families and sponsors who have helped the children enormously in their preparations for today, the Catechists in the Come Follow Me Team who have worked with the children over a number of years and all the other staff in school who helped out in many different ways to prepare the children for their special day.

We hope you all enjoyed this morning and have a fantastic day celebrating with family and friends.

Well done boys and girls the whole school is extremely proud you.

  • 🌍 Earth Day 🌊

    Mon 22 Apr 2024

Today we celebrated Earth Day 2024 in school.

Earth Day is a day of awareness, when we pay special attention to our natural environment. The children looked at the impact we are having on the Earth and what we can do to be less wasteful and defend our planet from activity that damages the environment.

The children spent time investigating the positive actions we can all take like litter picking, recycling and growing trees which will help to reset the balance with nature and our school Eco-Councillors organised an Earth Day poster competition with prizes for the best designs.

  • 🚒 The Titanic 🚒

    Fri 19 Apr 2024

Primary 7 have been studying The Titanic in their recent World Around Us Studies.

The class were tasked with creating their own Titanic ships as a home learning activity as part of their studies.

The finished designs were absolutely amazing. Pupils used a variety of materials for the project including aluminium, cardboard and wood and the level of creativity put into each and every Titanic replica was truly fantastic.

    Well done boys and girls.
