European Day of Languages

P7 enjoyed celebrating European Day of Languages celebrations!  We found the different European Countries on maps, researched information about countries we didn't know much about and ate some lovely European Food from different countries. We had a great day celebrating.

P7 enjoy being back to school.

Special Assembly for Miss McGreevy

Primary 7 presented Miss McGreevy with some gifts ahead of her big day on Saturday 9th March when she gets married. The children will have to get used to a name change as when Miss McGreevy returns to work she will be known as Mrs McGrath!

Everyone in in the whole school wishes her all the very best on her special day.

Happy Halloween from P7

Earth Science Week, October 2018 To celebrate Earth Science Week, Newry Mourne and Down District Council, in conjunction with the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland, hosted a ‘Science Festival’ in a number of locations throughout the District including Delamont Park, Downpatrick. The Science Festival focused on the extremely diverse geology and landscape of the three AONBs of the Mournes, Ring of Gullion and Strangford Lough & Lecale. The Science Festival gave our pupils the opportunity to learn about how the geology and landscape formed through a series of interactive workshops including exploding volcanoes, predicting earthquakes, making (and tasting) your own toothpaste, glacier racing, rock detectives, and a fossil factory to name but a few. We had a brilliant time participating in these activities.

In P7 we are learning about World War 1 with the Belfast Telegraph.

P7 Celebrate Roald Dahl Day - Check out our favourite Roald Dahl books with our Seesaw display and a QR reader.
