Literacy in P5 & 6
This term we are focusing on explanation writing. We have been identifying the main features of an explanation text and will shortly be writing our own explanations.
Happy Harbours Project
We have begun working on the Happy Harbours Project in association with the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority(NIFHA). The project covers:
- Getting to know our Local harbour
- Health & Safety at the harbour
- The local fishing industry
- Biodiversity & our environmental responsibility
We will be visiting Ardglass harbour as part of the project and can't wait to experience the 'feeling tank'!
Accelerated Reading Success in P5/6
P5/6 Boys and Girls who have successfully hit their Accelerated Reading Target in Term 2. Well Done! Always remember what Dr. Seuss said 'The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go'
Easter Bonnets in P5/6
The Easter bonnet is a true staple of Easter and the pupils in P5/6 certainly got their creativity flowing and had some fun making these creations at home with their families, all while raising money for our school Trocaire Appeal. Well done to all the boys and girls for their hard work!
