Many thanks to our wonderful PTA, Friends of St Mary’s who organised a range of Christmas treats for the children today including a bouncy castle as we held our class Christmas parties.
The children had a fantastic day and we are very grateful to our PTA for everything that they do for the children in St Mary’s.
The children have continued to work extremely hard on developing their Number Facts and Times Tables knowledge throughout this Term.
Congratulations to everyone for their amazing achievements in both Numbots and TT Rockstars to date this year and it is fantastic to see how this knowledge is translating across into daily numeracy activities.

Huge congratulations to Keeva in Primary 7 who has now read over 500,000 words in Accelerated Reader since September – a truly magnificent achievement!
Keeva is extremely consistent and dedicated in all her reading activities and is well on the way to becoming an Accelerated Reader word millionaire during this school year!

Members of our School Council were today delighted to announce that St Mary’s managed to raise £100 for the Cancer Fund for Children through the Cancer Fund Christmas Jumper Day.
Through supporting Cancer Fund for Children, we aim to help the charity to continue to support children and young people who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis and we will be presenting a cheque to the fundraising team from the charity in the New year.
Well done to all the children who achieved their Accelerated Reader Target during the last term.
The volume of reading taking place across the school on a consistent basis is absolutely remarkable.

There was lots of fun and laughter today as our whole school enjoyed our annual visit to Waterfront Hall in Belfast to see Rapunzel in pantomime.
The children had a fantastic time and absolutely loved the show.
Many thanks to Rooney International Coach Hire for taking us there and back safely.
There was lots of excitement as he made his way through the school giving each child a lovely Christmas treat.
Everyone was relieved to hear they are on Santa's nice list for Christmas!

Today was Christmas Dinner Day and Christmas Jumper Day in St Mary’s.
The children had a beautiful dinner and some fantastic festive fun, with Christmas karaoke led by our Primary 7 children.
Many thanks to Mrs Wills along with all our other support staff for organising dinner today and making it so special for everyone!
We had a very special visitor at our group today as Santa came in to see all the boys and girls before the big day.
