Our Primary 3 and Primary 4 children took to the stage yesterday as they performed their Christmas Play ‘A Miracle in Town’.
The play beautifully retells the Christmas Story and the children were truly amazing throughout.
Once again it was fantastic to see the children perform with such confidence and self-belief.
Many thanks to all our staff who helped the children prepare so well for their Christmas Play.
A video of the performance will be shared with parents via Seesaw.
Today we welcomed our new Primary 1 pupil Fiadh to St Mary's.
It was wonderful to see how excited she was and Fiadh’s mum Mrs McLaughlin, one of our fantastic classroom assistants was on hand to ensure Fiadh was all set to begin her new adventure in Primary School.
We hope you enjoyed your first day and that it is the start of many happy times to come! ๐
Yesterday our Primary 1 and Primary 2 children performed their amazing Christmas Play, ‘The Twinkly Nativity’.
The play retold the traditional Christmas Story with lots of added dazzle.
It was fantastic to witness all the children perform with such confidence and enthusiasm and everyone was extremely proud of our amazing children.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped prepare the children for their Play and it was very evident how much hard work and preparation had been in place.
A video of the performance will be shared with parents via Seesaw.
Today members of our School Council together with Mrs C Mullan were delighted to donate a magnificent thirteen hampers to the Dunsford & Ardglass St Vincent de Paul Society as part of their Christmas Hamper Appeal.
We presented the hampers to some of our local SVDP representatives and they will be distributed to those in need in our local community for use over the Christmas period.
Many thanks to all our parents, staff and the wider St Mary’s Community for their kind donations and St Mary’s are delighted to be able to continue to support our local SVDP group within the Parish.

Keeva, Dara, Sian and Aisling were delighted to accept our Advent Wreath for School which was very kindly presented to them at Sunday Mass in St Mary’s Church, Dunsford from the Parish of Dunsford and Ardglass.
All four children participated in the Mass and presented our Advent Wreath to the rest of the school today at Assembly in which we discussed the purpose and symbolism of the Advent Wreath.
Our wreath will now be displayed in the school foyer as we as a school community prepare our hearts and minds for the anniversary of the Lord’s birth on Christmas.
