  • Ardglass Festival Association Christmas Gifts

    Many thanks to Ardglass Festival Association who very kindly gave a lovely bar of chocolate to each child in the school for Christmas.
     

    The children really appreciated this lovely gesture. 

  • Ardglass GAC Christmas gifts

    Ardglass GAC presented each child in the school with a special Christmas gift bag, which included some magical reindeer dust for the children to sprinkle on their gardens before Santa arrives. 

     

    The children were delighted to receive this magical present and the continued support our school receives from Ardglass GAC is very much appreciated. 

  • Santa visits St Mary’s!!

    There was huge excitement in school today as the children received a very special visit from Santa and his elves.

     

    Santa gave each child in the school a lovely selection box and with music, singing and dancing there was a fantastic festive feel in school this morning. 
     

    Huge thanks to Friends of St Mary’s PTA for organising the event and managing to get Santa to take time out of his busy schedule to visit our school!

  • New School Gaelic kit Design Competition

    Ardglass GAC have very kindly supported our school as part of their 50th year anniversary celebrations by donating a new school Gaelic kit.

     

    The children will have the opportunity to design the kit using the O’Neills iCreate package and the winning design will be made into our new school Gaelic jersey.

  • Healthy Kidz Winner

    Congratulations to Isabelle in Primary 3 who took part in the recent Healthy Kidz Halloween Activity.
     

    Isabelle won a very special Healthy Kidz beanie hat having completed a variety of  physical, emotional and home learning  activities throughout the Halloween break! 

  • Christmas Raffle Winners

    There was huge excitement in school this morning as the draw for our annual Christmas raffle took place. 

     

    We managed to raise an absolutely incredible £900 from the draw and we are so graetful for the contiunal support we receive from our whole school community.

  • Christmas Dinner

    The children had a beautiful Christmas dinner today in school. Many thanks to all the staff for organising today and making it so special for everyone.

  • Christmas Storytelling & Tree Planting

    The children had a very special treat this week when three of our fantastic parents came into school to help get everyone in Primary 1 to Primary 4 in the festive spirit.

     

    The children got to plant their own tree sapling which the school was successful in obtaining from The Woodland Trust, were treated to hot chocolate and s’mores and listened to some amazing Christmas stories read by our parent volunteers in our ‘Secret Garden’. 
     

    The children had an fantastic day with some children commenting that it was “the best day ever!”. Thanks to Alison Clarke, Tara Murphy and Danielle Gilchrist for organising the event.
