Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Happy St.Patrick's Day from everyone in St Mary's! ☘️
This week all our children have been super scientists as we celebrated Science Week 2024 throughout the school.
All classes fully participated in Science Week 2024 by conducting a number of scientific experiments from floating and sinking investigations to exploding volcanoes!
It was a practical, investigative and fun week for all, with invaluable learning taking place in all classes.
Well done to Caitlin in Primary 1 who was recently awarded ‘Gymnast of the Week’ from her Gymnastics Club.
Caitlin was delighted to display her certificate to the other children at assembly today! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Well done everyone! ⭐️👏🏻
Today we joined in the celebrations for World Book Day 2024.
As a school we endeavour to foster a love for reading all year round by exposing each child to a variety of books, genres and reading audiences.
Children came to school dressed as their favourite book character and enjoyed taking part in a wide variety of activities to celebrate the day.
Happy World Book Day from everyone in St Mary’s PS!
Today Caitlin in Primary 1 presented her ‘National Gymnastics Award - Level 1’ certificate to the other children at assembly.
Well done Caitlin, we are very proud of you and what a great achievement!
Keep up the great work! 🌟
Congratulations to our World Book Day competition winners!
Today St Mary’s PS were delighted to donate £150 to the Children’s Heartbeat Trust, on behalf of our pupils, parents and school community.
Pupils presented our donation to Lynne from the Children’s Heartbeat Trust, and we are extremely proud that our donation will help support and raise awareness of congenital heart disease (CHD), Northern Ireland’s most common birth defect through the fantastic work carried out by the Children’s Heartbeat Trust.
They have worked so hard over the past number of weeks in preparation for today and this was apparent in their responses throughout the service, in their readings and in their knowledge of the Sacrament.
Many thanks to everyone who assisted the children in their preparation for today, including class teacher Mrs Howland, Fr McCloskey for a very special service, Mrs McGrath for leading our school choir and our P3/P4 classroom assistant Mrs Mullan for displaying the children's work so beautifully.
We hope you all enjoyed this morning and have a fantastic day celebrating with your family and friends.
Well done boys and girls the whole school is very proud of you.
