• ***Eco-Schools Green Flag Award***

  There was fantastic excitement in school yesterday when we were officially awarded our first ever Eco-Schools Green Flag award!

   

  The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning. We have worked up to obtaining our Green Flag by achieving Bronze and Silver awards in previous years.

   

  Yesterday, after a rigorous assessment from the Eco-Schools assessors who witnessed and evaluated all the great work carried out by the whole school community from parents, pupils, teachers, support staff and friends of St Mary’s our school Eco-Committee and Miss O’Neill our Eco-Schools coordinator were presented with the prized award.

   

  Huge thanks goes to our school Eco Committee of Hugh, Archie, Isla, Ryan and John for their dedication throughout the year and to Miss O’Neill (Eco-Schools Coordinator) and Mrs C Mullan for their leadership on the project.
