Our School Vision
It is our vision, at St Mary’s Primary School, that we create an inclusive faith community where our children will;
‘ Live, Love & Learn Together’
We aim to educate our children in a nurturing and stimulating environment which seeks excellence in all that it strives to do and where everyone is supported to reach their full potential. At St Mary’s our policy is to develop in our children the capacity to become self-confident, independent and caring individuals who use their skills and talents to become contributing members of society and to make a positive impact on our world.
Mission Statement
We, the Governors and staff of St Mary’s PS Dunsford, believe the school to be an integral part of the community, welcoming children of all faiths and cultures. In St Mary’s Primary School, we aim to create a happy, calm and caring environment, where each child is nurtured to reach their true potential and experience success in their learning and development.
Central to the creation of this environment is a commitment to the Catholic Ethos which permeates all aspects of school life. It reflects the values, attitudes, beliefs and practices of our Catholic Faith and recognises the value of each child through the development of self-respect and understanding.
We aim to prepare children as life-long learners through a wide range of experiences where they are respected, valued and cared for as individuals and where every child matters. We aspire to motivate, support and inspire personal, spiritual, emotional and educational development in all our pupils in a holistic and inclusive way.
We aim to establish a community wherein pupils, teachers, parents, support staff and Board of Governors enjoy a sense of belonging and have an important role to play. In St Mary’s we strive to ensure that every child will ‘Live, Love and Learn Together’.
