In preparation for their Confirmation Day, Primary 7 have promised to undertake three new commitments in school, at home and within their community showing that they are willing to be God’s witnesses in the world.
Today, their Certificates of Commitment were blessed by Fr McCloskey during the Service of Light and Commitment.
During the service parents and sponsors handed the children a candle lit from the Church Easter candle, showing that they will help and support them to try to live out the call of their Confirmation.
The Service of Light and Commitment is the first step on the road to the Sacrament of Confirmation and Primary 7 showed in their prayerful participation that they ready for the next stage in their faith development.
