We are delighted to announce that our school has been accepted onto the ‘Scoil Spreagtha’ Scheme for 2026.
‘Scoil Spreagtha’ is an accredited and celebratory initiative that recognises and supports the efforts of English‑medium schools to promote and increase the use of Irish throughout the school environment. The scheme aims to inspire schools to celebrate, showcase, and further develop their commitment to encouraging the use of An Ghaeilge within the whole school community.
At St Mary’s, Mrs Rennicks and Mrs Howland will be leading and assisting in the development of the scheme, supported closely by the Scoil Spreagtha team and we look forward to embracing this exciting opportunity and sharing our progress with pupils, parents, and the wider community over the coming months.
