The Reading Partnership Programme has been a central feature of literacy support in St Mary’s for a number of years. The aim of the programme is to improve children’s reading confidence when reading and getting children to become enthusiastic readers.
Reading Partnership is based around the understanding that building a child’s confidence is the key to improving their reading.
This year we were extremely fortunate to be able to have Mrs Kasapatu return as a parent Reading Partner and she came into St Mary’s three times a week on a voluntary basis to support children in the development of their reading.
The Programme has been a great success and the progress of the children who worked with Mrs Kasapatu has been truly amazing.
We are extremely grateful and thankful to Mrs Kasapatu for the time and commitment she has given to the school over the year and today we presented a small gift to her as a sign of appreciation for all her hard work and dedication throughout the year.
