This morning, our Primary 7 pupils joined others from across the Lecale cluster of schools for a fantastic morning of fun, friendship, and brain‑teasing challenges at this year’s inter‑school quiz, held in Inverbrena Hall, Strangford.
We were joined this morning by our friends from St Joseph’s Strangford, St Joseph’s Killough, St Patrick’s Saul, and St Malachy’s Kilclief. The event was designed to help children get to know one another as they prepare to take the big step into Year 8 this September.
The hall began quietly, but it wasn’t long before it was buzzing with excitement as mixed‑school teams worked together through rounds of general knowledge, puzzles, music, sport, and local facts. Laughter, teamwork, and plenty of encouragement filled the room as pupils cheered each other on and made new friends throughout the morning.
This quiz forms part of the Lecale cluster’s ongoing work to support a smooth and positive transition for pupils moving from primary to post‑primary education.
It was a brilliant day filled with questions, craic, and lots of smiling faces. Well done to all the P7s who took part, and a huge thank‑you to everyone who helped organise such an enjoyable event.
