Primary 3 & Primary 4 enjoyed a great day out to Ardglass today. They started their trip with a visit to the new shrine of Blessed Carlo Acutis in St Nicholas' Church. The children lit some candles and put their petitions in the petition box.
Following this, they went on a Castle trail around the village with renowned local historian Michael Howland. They learned more about the history of King’s Castle, Jordan’s Castle, Cowd’s Castle and Ardglass Castle. The sun was shining and everyone was then ready for their next stop at the Watersedge Cafe for some of Barbara’s delicious ice-cream to cool everyone down!☀️🍨
The children finished with a walk to the play park before heading back to school. Primary 3 & Primary 4 loved learning about their local village. Many thanks to Michael for all his help with our Castles topic and many thanks to Barbara for the lovely warm welcome and tasty ice-cream!😁
